We provide a platform to facilitate Clients and Caregivers doing business with each other.
The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and secure information we obtain in connection with the Service. The terms “Hhomey,” “we,” and “us” include Hhomey, LLC, a Limited Liability Company and our affiliates and subsidiaries. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use. Any capitalized terms used and not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Use.
Registration and Account Information. You must register to use the Service. To register, you may need to provide information about yourself, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, and birth date. You may also provide other optional information, such as your Service login credentials. Information about Clients. We may receive information about Clients, such as their name, address, date of birth, gender, social security number, photographs, information about care needs and medical conditions, mood and activity information, caregiver preferences, transaction history, and other information provided to us about Clients.
Information about Caregivers. We may receive information about Caregivers, such as their name, billing address, telephone number, date of birth, photographs, biography, driver’s license information, background check information, social security number, bank account information, and other information provided to us about Caregivers.
Using the Service. We collect the information you provide through the Service. For example, when you interact with other users through the Service by discussing the provision of care with a Caregiver or Client or posting reviews, we will collect the information you provide in such submissions.
Background Checks. We take steps to screen Caregivers. To use the Service as a Caregiver, we will collect information about you from state regulators and from background investigation reports we receive. For example, if you are a Caregiver and with your permission, we may verify your professional registration with your state regulator and review a background investigation report provided to us by you or on your behalf.
Making Payments. When you make payments through the Service, you will need to provide financial account information, such as your credit card number, to our third-party service partners. We do not collect or store such payment card information, though we will receive information about completed transactions that does not include credit card information.
Receiving Payments. As a Caregiver, you will need to provide bank account information to us so that you can be paid for your work via ACH.
Surveys. We may invite you to participate in surveys, and we receive any information you provide when participating in those surveys.
Referrals. A user may submit information, such as an email address, about others to us so that the user can recommend the Service or content available on the Service to them. We use the information to send a communication to the individual. The recipient of an invitation to use the Service will see your name and email address as the referrer.
Communicate with Us. We collect information about you through your communications with our customer-support team or through other communications with us, including through social media and by telephone.
From Other Sources. We may receive information about you from third parties, such as updated address or contact information. We also coordinate with a third-party time-keeping mobile application provider that will collect your geo-location, working time, and other information when you are a Caregiver and we receive such information for time-keeping, payment, and other business purposes. We may combine this information with other information about you that we received through the Service.
Information and Content that You Select from Your Device. With your permission, the Service may access and collect information you select from your device’s contact list and photo storage so you can store contact information and photos on the Service.
Automatic Data Collection: Cookies and Related Technologies. When you visit our Service or open our emails, we and our third-party partners, such as advertising networks and analytics providers, collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies, web beacons and web server logs. By using the Service, you consent to the placement of cookies, beacons, and other similar technology in your browser and on emails in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The information collected in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device IDs and characteristics, operating system version, language preferences, referring URLs, and information about the usage of our Service. We may use this information, for example, to determine how many users have visited certain pages or opened messages or newsletters, or to prevent fraud.
We may link this data to your profile. Our partners also may collect and combine information about your online activities over time, on other devices, and on other websites or apps, if those websites and apps also use the same partners. You may be able to change browser settings to block and delete cookies when you access the Service through a web browser. However, if you do that, the Service may not work properly. The Service does not respond to browser do-not-track signals.
Internal and Service-Related Usage. We use information for internal and service-related purposes. For example, we may analyze the information collected through the Service and use the analysis to try to improve the care of Clients and the services provided by Caregivers. We may use and retain any data we collect to provide and improve any of our services.
Communications. We may send emails to the email address you provide to us, push notifications to your mobile device if you have downloaded our app and enabled notifications, and text messages to any cellphone number you provided to us, to verify your account and for informational and operational purposes, such as account management, customer service, system maintenance, and other Service-related purposes.
Marketing. We may use information about you for marketing purposes, such as providing online advertising on the Service and on other websites and online services and sending you information we think may be useful or relevant to you. You may opt out of email marketing by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Aggregate Data. We anonymize or aggregate data collected through the Service and may use and disclose it for any purpose.
We Use Vendors and Service Providers. We share information we receive with vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf. For example, we will share information (e.g., name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number, social security number, and bank account information) with our back-office vendor to facilitate the receipt and payment of funds. We will pass information to the vendor that provides the Caregiver time-keeping mobile application to create Caregiver accounts.
Displaying Information to Other Users. The information and content you provide to the Service may be displayed on the Service. Other users of the Service may be able to see some information about you, such as your name, photograph, city, state, certifications, and other information. We are not responsible for how other users will view and use the posted information.
Marketing and Advertising Partners. We do not rent, sell, or share personal information (as defined by California Civil Code §1798.83) about you that we collect on the Service with other people or unaffiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission. We allow access to your information to enable the delivery of online advertising to you and others on the Service and on other websites and online services from us and our third-party advertising partners, or to send you information we think may be useful or relevant to you.
You may be able to opt out of receiving personalized advertisements on this browser or device from advertisers, or other advertising networks who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or who subscribe to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising by visiting the opt-out options of each of those organizations. When you opt out of personalized advertising, you may continue to see online advertising on the Service and/or our ads on other websites and online services.
Legal and Similar Disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information, if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; respond to your requests; comply with the law; or protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety.
Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of Hhomey assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be disclosed in connection with the negotiation of such transaction, and/or sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract. With Your Permission. We may also disclose your information with your permission.
We take steps in an effort to treat your information securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us.
We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age, and no part of the Service is directed to children under the age of 13. If you learn that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, you may alert us by calling at (310) 426-8153 or by sending an email to hello@hhomey.com. If we learn that we have collected any personal information from children under 13, we will promptly take steps to delete such information and terminate the child’s account.
If you are using the Service, you agree to the transfer of your information to the United States and processing globally. By providing your information you consent to any transfer and processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Posting of a Revised Privacy Policy. We may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted. If we make any material changes, we will let you know through the Service, by email, or other communication. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy periodically to stay up-to-date about our privacy practices. As long as you use the Service, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy and any updates we make to it.
